release of the year is Chief Kamachi's "Cult Status".
Join the avEIGHT and Good Hands crews to celebrate @ The Five
Spot (5 Bank St.,
off Market b/t 2nd & 3rd in Philly). This event is hosted
by the legendary Guru (from Gangstarr) and you never know who
will show
up from the rest of the Gangstarr posse. DJ Mighty Mi (of the
High and Mighty fame) will be holding in down on the decks with
help
from DJ Kwestion. Special guests will be appearing all night
to pay their respects to Kamachi, so make sure you do not miss
this
event.

The legendary Schoolly D will be spinning his
classic blend of old school hip-hop, funk, soul and R & B on
Thursday 4/29/04. Tribecca is an after hours bar and Schoolly
will be performing from 2:00AM to 3:30AM, so come late and prepare
to dance the night away. The following Thursday (5/06/04) DJ
Kid Swift will be be performing in the same time slot. Swift
will be spinning new school and early '90's hip-hop. There will
be avEIGHT shirt giveaways both nights, so make sure to come
by and say hello to the avEIGHT staff.

Marley, son of legendary reggae star Bob
Marley, will
be playing at The Electric factory, one of Philadelphia's primere
music venuses. Joining him will be Spearhead, an activist reggae
group led by Micheal
Franti. Schoolly D will be DJ'ing to open the show, so get
there early. Zach Towne-Smith will be photographing the show
for avEIGHT and avEIGHT clothing will be for sale. See you there!

Schoolly D will be spinning Maxim and Heineken's
Grammy preview party at the Borgata Hotel, Spa and Casino in
Atlantic City. Come and gamble the night away with the avEIGHT
crew. Schoolly will be spinning from 10:00 PM to 12:30 AM at
the club located in the Borgata (Mixx). Should be a good time!
